Domain name registration
The first step towards having your own site is
to register a domain name. We can help you with searching out and
registering a suitable name - bear in mind that the explosion in
interest in the Internet means that many common names are already
allocated.
Hosting
Once your domain name is allocated, and the site
design is completed, it has to be hosted: that is, stored on a web
server permanently connected to the Internet. It is important that
the host has a high bandwidth connection to the 'net, and is protected
by reliable maintenance and back up routines.
As part of the web design service your site will
be hosted on our own industry standard Cobalt RAQ server located
at a major European hosting service, with 24 hour monitoring and
excellent data and power back-up facilities.
Standard Facilities
Standard facilities available with all hosting
packages include 10 POP mailboxes, unlimited aliases and easy web
access to your POP account to set aliases and forwarding address.
We can also provide web based e-mail access if required. The package
also provides MySQL, PHP, CGI, your own mailing list and detailed
site access statistics.
If you are planning an e-commerce site then you
will also need a secure server to
enable you to take payments from customers.
E-mail
Depending on the size of your company, you will
also need to organise handling of e-mail. Please read
